About Marjorie Rae Crafts

Hi my name is Erika! 

I was born and raised in a small town in Ohio, I currently live in Abilene, Texas with my husband and daughter. I grew up surrounded by a lot of family members and those connections are still important to me today. The inspiration behind my business name comes from some of the most important women in my life. “Marjorie” is my grandmother’s name; it is also my daughter’s middle name. “Rae” is my mother’s initials and my middle name. The image you see throughout my website was painted by my grandmother in the 1980s and I love it. This painting reminds me of my home in Ohio. 

I wasn’t always a crafty person, I was actually a Forensic DNA Scientist for almost 20 years. Going from Career life to a stay-at-home mom right at the beginning of the pandemic was a challenging time. I started crafting as an outlet and realized how much I loved it. The joy I get from making crafts for people is the unexpected gift that I didn’t know I needed.
